I’m Masoud Rajaei from Iran. Born in Bojnurd, a city nestled in northeastern Iran, I am the youngest in my family. This year, I proudly graduated from the China Academy of Art with a master’sdegree in Environmental Design. Prior to that, in 2014, I earned my bachelor's degree in Urban Planning from the Ishraq Institute of Higher Education.

My journey to China began in 2017, driven by a multitude of reasons. My fascination with Chinese culture and language, coupled with a keen interest in the country's unique architecture and urban planning, played significant roles in my decision.

For my graduation project, Imainly focus on the harmonious integration of traditional Chinese architectural principles and spatial hierarchy. Inspired by the concept of caves, I explored the themes of order and disorder, creating an environment that invites exploration and discovery. The notion of“间” (Jian), which means themost basic unit in a single building, inspired my design of interior spacesand reflects the architectural heritage of ancient China. I also incorporated Lego structures to build these spaces, achieving a seamless blend between the exterior and interior environments.

My dedication to embedding culture, tradition, and meaning into architecture has been a driving force in my work, inspiring me to create spaces that resonate deeply with their cultural context!
