I'm Mokhirjon Mardiev, an international student from Uzbekistan and a postgraduate student of Film and Television Production at the CAA's School of Film Art. For me, "Brain Garden" heralds an artistic future with limitless potential. It is a universe of tremendous mental labor, ideas, and aesthetics. I want to thank the CAA Graduation Exhibition "Brain Garden" for the opportunity of presenting my graduation work.
Fatewas filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic. By telling a love story, it showcases that, in response to the prolonged pandemic, people were haunted by a sense of depression, anxiety, frustration, and mental disturbance before they gradually learned how to cope with the reality. Eventually, just as the sun will always rise again, people regain their hopes and the courage to create a brighter future. The video also depicts, in a realistic manner, the life of today's young people fueled by unbending wills to go against fate and unwavering desire for a better future.
I'm fascinated by films. They have provided me access to discover the outside world since childhood and captivated me with breathtaking scenes. Because of films, I am now here at the CAA to further my art learning. During my four-year studies at the CAA, I got first-hand experience of the spiritual strength of different nations and peoples. I want to create films in diverse forms and with vivid scenes and profound sentiments to evoke the audience's empathy and reflections on life in a few hours. I believe films are an indelible art of humanity.
