中国美术学院副教授，硕士生导师；中国美术学院色彩研究所副所长。毕业于英国拉夫堡大学设计与创意艺术学院，获艺术设计博士、视觉可视化设计硕士、视觉传达专业学士学位。现任国际色彩协会（AIC）环境设计专委会委员；中国流行色协会理事、中国流行色协会建筑环境色彩专委会秘书长、色彩教育委员会委员；国际设计研究协会（DRS）文化遗产研究委员会委员；国际环境平面设计协会会员。专业从事色彩及艺术与设计学术研究，曾参与主持英国人文艺术基金项目，针对中英城市色彩特征进行系统的研究。长期致力于推进色彩学科建设及应用，活跃在国际色彩研究领域，包括在国内外发表著作与论文，组织国内外色彩论坛、讲座及色彩主题的策展活动。
