宗旨：以揭示色彩现象及其相关问题成因为主要研究对象，从理论和实践两个层面提出有效的解决方案的学术研究机构。研究范围涉及色彩基础理论、颜色标准系统建构、色彩艺术表现力、色彩文化史、色彩美学、流行色、色彩营销、色彩规划、色彩设计方法，以及色彩营造与管理等多个方面。

Objectives:This centre focuses on revelling phenomenon and related issues of colour,and on proposing effective solutions from both theoretic and practical perspectives.Researches range from fundamental colour theory,construction of standard colour system, expressiveness of colour art,history of colour culture,colour aesthetics,fashion colour,colour marketing,colour design approach, colour construction and management and various aspects.
