今年9月，中国日报社与中国美术学院、四川美术学院、西安美术学院、鲁迅美术学院、天津美术学院、湖北美术学院在线上签署了“画时代”美院国传联盟合作备忘录，将充分发挥中国日报的国传优势、渠道优势和经验优势与美院的美术优势和人才优势，更好展示中华文化魅力，展现可信、可爱、可敬的中国形象。
In September, China Daily's Times' Palette Studio signed a memorandum of understanding with the China Academy of Art, the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts to build a joint platform to introduce Chinese paintings to the world.
绘画是展示时代风貌最生动、最直观、也最具美感的艺术种类。十八大以来，全国人民紧密团结在习近平总书记的周围，撸起袖子加油干，取得了举世瞩目的成就，在人类历史上书写下了光辉灿烂的一页。
Art is a form of communication and painting, as one of its languages, has been an important way to record and illustrate events. Painters in China have used their brushes to tell stories about the country's historic achievements in the past decade.
中国日报创新内容形式，用整版绘画作品展示中国当代学院派绘画精品。这些绘画作品或用美描绘发展、展示成就，或用美弘扬正义、宣扬和平，或用美讴歌英模、赞美劳动，或用美展现中国河山的壮美风景、展现中国人民的幸福生活。本版8幅作品均来自“画时代”美院国传联盟成员院校（中国美术学院、四川美术学院、鲁迅美术学院）艺术家们的手笔。
Presenting eight paintings from the China Academy of Art, the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, this page demonstrates how people's lives have been improved and how the country has forged ahead in ecological preservation and environmental protection over the past decade.
《勇攀珠峰》，该油画作品来自鲁迅美术学院，创作者为：张志坚、刘海洋、张剑、李陶然。1975年5月27日下午2时30分，中国登山队女队员潘多和8名男队员从北坡登上珠穆朗玛峰，这是我国第二次登上珠穆朗玛峰，并首创女子从北坡登上世界最高峰的纪录。鲜艳的五星红旗飘扬在地球之巅，中国人民“无高不可攀，无坚不可摧”的英雄气概震撼世界。此次珠峰登顶成功，不仅改写了世界登山史，而且充分体现了我国在体育事业上所取得的辉煌成就。油画《勇攀珠峰》真实再现这一英雄壮举。
Scaling Qomolangma is an oil painting created by Zhang Zhijian, Liu Haiyang, Zhang Jian and Li Taoran from the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. It depicts the second time that a Chinese mountaineering team ascended Mount Qomolangma, known as Mount Everest in the West.
《丰收节》，该油画作品来自鲁迅美术学院，创作者为：及云辉，张贯一，李鹏鹏，陈旭，王腾。描绘了渔民收获时兴高采烈、热火朝天的劳动场景。
Harvest Season is an oil work by Ji Yunhui, Zhang Guanyi, Li Pengpeng, Chen Xu and Wang Teng from the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. It shows excitement over the catch of the day.
《彝家新村欢迎您》，该油画作品来自四川美术学院，创作者庞茂琨，为了创作这幅作品，四川美术学院院长庞茂琨于2018年、2020年两度赴四川省大凉山彝族自治州山寨采风，用画笔记录了彝家新村生活的巨大改善。
Greetings from Villagers of the Yi Ethnic Group is a painting with oil by Pang Maokun from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. To create the work, Pang visited villages in Daliangshan, Sichuan province, in 2018 and 2020, to see how life in the area had been improved.
《屠呦呦》，该油画作品来自中国美术学院，创作者刘华新。屠呦呦，中国中医研究院终身研究员兼首席研究员，青蒿素研究开发中心主任，博士生导师、药学家。2015年10月，因发现可以有效降低疟疾患者死亡率的青蒿素，成为首获科学类诺贝尔奖的中国人。作品画面色彩柔和，笔触细腻，描绘了实验桌前阅读实验报告的屠呦呦。明亮的色调表现人物主体，突出科学家专注、严肃的研究态度；运用写实技巧展现了中国科学人百折不挠、踏实奉献的科研精神。
Tu Youyou by Liu Huaxin, from the China Academy of Art, is a portrait of the pharmacologist who won the Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine in 2015. She discovered Artemisinin, a drug that has significantly reduced the death rate among malaria patients.
《为了和平》，该油画作品来自鲁迅美术学院，创作者为：李卓、丁永升。该画作品历时两年半创作完成，表现了我国派出的海外维和部队援非场景，体现了一支威武之师、一支正义之师。
For Peace created by Li Zhuo and Ding Yongsheng from the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts features China's support to Africa during a UN peacekeeping operation. The artists re-created the scene on canvas over a period of two and a half years.
《暖心——十八洞村贫困户精准识别公示会》，该中国画作品来自中国美术学院，创作者王奋英。作品以湘西苗寨十八洞村召开贫困户精准识别公示会场景为切入点，运用新创“水痕描”水墨语言， 兼工带写，生动描绘扶贫基层干部与村民们一起凝心聚力、发扬民主，落实精准识别、帮扶贫困户的感人场景。
Heartwarming Moment, ink and color, by Wang Fenying from the China Academy of Art depicts a meeting introducing targeted poverty alleviation policies to the residents of Shibadong village in Hunan province. Accurate identification of the poor and targeted measures are crucial to eradicating poverty, and China has launched a series of guidelines to increase efficiency, starting from identifying people in need to know whom to help.
《两山理论-绿水青山就是金山银山》，该中国画作品来自中国美术学院，创作者为茹峰。2005年8月15日，时任中共浙江省委书记的习近平在安吉县天荒坪镇余村考察时，首次提出“绿水青山就是金山银山”的理论。如今的余村，村强、民富、景美、人和，成为新时代文明乡村的样板。2017年10月，“坚持绿水青山就是金山银山”被写入党的十九大报告和党章，成为指导我国新时代社会主义建设的重要思想。
Green Mountains and Clear Waters are Equal to Mountains of Gold and Silver is an ink-color painting by Ru Feng from the China Academy of Art. Adhering to the concept that clear waters and green mountains are as valuable as gold or silver, the artwork aims to show China's progress in ecological preservation and environmental protection.
《东方大港：宁波—舟山港》，该油画作品来自中国美术学院，创作者为：杨参军、卢家华、王敏杰。宁波舟山港处于长江经济带的出海口，货物吞吐量全球第一，是江海联运的重要通道，为我国“一带一路”及 “海洋强国”的国家战略扬帆助力。作品提炼概括了舟山港的特点：山峦起伏，婉若游龙；港口水质倾向土黄色而非湛蓝色。三联画的形式，展现了 “万里海港横跨”的诗意，突出东方大港的气势。
Ningbo Zhoushan Port by Yang Canjun, Lu Jiahua and Wang Minjie from the China Academy of Art shows how busy the port is through the use of triptych. The port in Zhejiang province has been one of the world's busiest cargo hubs, and the second largest port in China.
